This week jobs advertised through Drapers online continued their recent rise whilst FashionUnited saw a small fall, the onward trend remains good.
Jobs advertised through Drapers Online reached 2,056, a mark higher than in the previous week and four week periods. The most popular jobs advertised were for design, merchandising and retail management

In terms of the occupations advertised by role, design saw the greatest surge with a net increase of 66 positions advertised over the past four weeks. This was followed by retail managements, store manager and buyer, indicating a healthy demand within retail.
In terms of fallers, e-commerce saw the greatest net reduction in vacancies with 29 less than four weeks ago. This is followed by garment design and customer services indicating a wide ranging change in requirements across the sector.

Fashion United advertised 1,309 jobs through its website as of 13th May. This is a small reduction of 24 on the previous week although 47 more on the four week figure indicating as with Drapers a steady progress of industry recruitment needs.
Using the four week figure, retail management and in-store proved to be the occupation that was positive on the both the one and four week scales. 91 net additional vacancies have been advertised for positions within this sector in the previous four weeks.
