The following round-up of Drapers and Fashion United’s job advertisement numbers from Friday 8th April.
After a substantial dip the previous week, there were over 200 net more jobs advertised through Drapers on 8th April bringing the number up to 1,858 advertised. The largest single category was for design roles with 250 advertisements. This was followed by merchandisers with 244 vacancies advertised.

On both the one and four week aggregates, job vacancies reported were up. On the four week scale, the largest increases were in merchandisers, buyers, wholesale, garment technologist and e-commerce roles advertised.

Fashion United’s job portal showed increases too, with 36 more vacancies advertised as of 8th April over the following week and 78 extra over a four week period.
Largest recruitment needs over the four week period reported through Fashion United were for retail management and in-store which saw an increase of 72 advertisements, whilst product and supply chain roles saw a net 18 more advertisements added.
