Based on the job vacancies reported by Drapers and Fashion United, todays weekly vacancy round-up shows both publications reporting slightly lower vacancy levels for the week ending 1st April 2016.
Drapers had 1,623 vacancies advertised on their website across the following job functions.
On both a one week and four week measure both measures are down. However, much of this lower figure was reported over the last week with a 179 fall on last Friday.
Over the four week period, technical roles were the ones which saw the greatest level of advertising increases. Of the fallers, there was a large decline in garment technologist, sales and retail management roles advertised over the four week period.
Fashion United’s job portal showed 1,132 jobs advertised with a small reduction of 32 jobs advertised in the previous week but an 85 job increase over the previous 4 weeks. Retail Management and In-Store and Product and Supply Chain have shown the greatest increases in demand.
