Clothing and Footwear consumer prices rise 1.6% in February 2016

February 2016 saw consumer prices for clothing and footwear rise 1.6% on January’s figure.  However, prices as still below levels in 2015 where prices spiked 3% higher in October and November than the annual average.

Looking at individual product groups within clothing and footwear, all product groups saw rises in prices in February having seen price falls at the end of 2015.  However, only the price of cleaning, repair and the hire of clothing is higher than on average than seen in 2015.
